The CMAG Safety & Defense Security Guard Training Course is a 12-hour comprehensive program designed to prepare participants for professional roles in private security. Approved by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission, the course combines classroom instruction with practical application to ensure every trainee meets state standards and industry best practices.

Course Schedule

To accommodate the busy schedules of working professionals, CMAG Safety & Defense offers flexible class options for the 12-Hour Security Guard Training Course. Participants can choose between three weekday evening sessions, held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM, or an intensive weekend format offered Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. This flexible scheduling ensures students can complete the training conveniently—without disrupting their work or personal commitments.

Course Fees

The 12-Hour Security Guard Training Course is offered at a fee of $250.00 per student, which includes all course materials, handouts, and classroom instruction. As part of the licensing process, all students are required to complete fingerprinting for state background checks. For convenience, CMAG Safety & Defense can coordinate fingerprinting appointments at a local authorized facility following course completion for an additional fee of $75.00. This streamlined option allows students to complete their training and fingerprinting process efficiently, ensuring a smooth path toward Maryland Security Guard certification.
